Day 1:

Departuring from Porto enjoy a trip to one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world with someone that love his country and have been showing it enthusiastically around for more than 6 years. See the region by through the felling of an expert local private guide in Douro Valley.

During the trip, you will cross the N222 road, considered one of the most beautiful in the world. You will have a 1-hour cruise on the Douro River, a visit to Pinhão Train Station, a picturesque lunch in a restaurant, one of the best in the Douro region, tasting menu with many traditional dishes and wines and a tasting experience in a wine cellar of the Region.

On the way to the Alto Douro, you will visit the historic center of S. João da Pesqueira, the S. Salvador do Mundo viewpoint and the S. Xisto village. Places and charming landscape, which give more color to this trip.

At the end of the afternoon, arrival at the historical village of Castelo Rodrigo, where you will be staying in the charming hotel. In the quiet of Castelo Rodrigo, enjoy a tasting dinner of regional gastronomy, a walk around the walls to appreciate the night lighting and a night in the unique silence of this village.

Day 2:

After a delicious breakfast, you will experience the All-Terrain route through the Natural Park of the International Douro to observe the magnificent landscape, vegetation and fauna of the river canyons. Pass through Santo André das Arribas viewpoint, Alto da Sapinha, Ribeira do Mosteiro, which includes a picnic lunch to be taken along the route, wherever you want.

Return to the hotel. End of afternoon free. Tasting dinner of regional gastronomy.

Day 3:

After a delicious breakfast, you will visit to the Côa Museum, not to be missed for its estate and architecture, followed by a picnic or lunch in a restaurant.

In the middle of the afternoon, departure to the Côa valley for a dinner in the valley by candlelight, with a magnificent landscape, in the middle of nature, where you can enjoy, at nightfall, an excellent meal accompanied by a selection of fine wines of the valley.

Early in the evening, you will make a overnight visit to the fantastic Paleolithic engravings of the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, the most important known to this day. A way to rediscover our history, with the contribution of specialized guides in Prehistoric Art, in a course of 30 minutes in 4×4 vehicle and 400m on foot.

Return to hotel

Day 4:

A fantastic breakfast and departure.

Transfer to Pocinho Station for a memorable train trip between this village and Porto, accompanied by a picnic lunch.

Reception at São Bento station and transfer to the end location of the experience.

The goal is to have fun! This is a great opportunity for a first visit, discovering many of the wonders of the Douro.
